Movement Improvement and Sports Performance Training
Acceleration and Roger Fitzgerald (BPhys, APA, SMA) from Movement Concepts have teamed up to produce a stimulating 2-day hands-on workshop to help your athletes' perform beyond their best in 2009.

1. How to identify your athletes' functional limitations
2. Exercise and trigger point therapy strategies for injury reduction and
3. How to avoid performance plateaus
"I thought the workshop gave us a great insight into the new ideas and research in the area of strength and conditioning, whilst focusing in on speed work. The course will help me develop athletes both at school and club level to now reach a different level of performance." Graham Harvey, P.E Teacher Mirani SHS.
What is trigger point therapy?
Trigger point therapy utilises a spikey ball to relax sore knots in muscles. A muscle or group of muscles cannot function properly and are more likely to incur an injury if it has trigger points. Eliminating trigger points through the use of a spikey ball increases flexibility, mobility and reduces the incidences of injury. Under the advice of Roger Fitzgerald, Acceleration has adopted this methond of flexibility training into all individual, school, club and team sessions. Dramatic results have been felt and observed by the athletes. This workshop will show you have to use this method with your athletes. You will find that you will benefit greatly from this flexibility technique as well!
| "Acceleration will show you how to test both flexibility and muscle balance. You will learn the fastest way to gain flexibility and the true meaning of core stability. Your athletes will find that they can perform their sport with more efficiency, control and power from doing these exercises. This workshop is a must for any coach looking for the cutting edge that will take his/her athlete's performance to a higher level!" - Roger Fitzgerald | |
